Prof. Ewan Pearson and his colleagues at The University of Dundee hosted a two-day event “Trials, health data and real-world implementation of precision medicine” on February 2nd and 3rd, 2023. The event focused on health data management and governance, and their experience of implementing precision medicine. The event took place at the Ninewells Hospital and Jacqui Wood Centre, and featured presentations and discussions on topics such as the data linkage of EHR to research data, pharmacovigilance, funding of Health Informatics Centre and Clinical Research Unit and how they support research projects. On the second day Prof. Colin Palmer lead a lab tour of the core genomics facility.  The event benefited the scientists from the Latvian Biomedical Research and Study centre (LBMC) and representatives of two largest hospitals in Latvia – Riga East University Hospital and Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital.
